“WriteSpa – an oasis for writers” is a place for refreshment and enjoyment during your writing journey. We offer mentoring, coaching, editing, publishing consulting services, as well as different and original ways of approaching writing, which include writing practices designed to rejuvenate and inspire you.
Our weekly BlogTalkRadio show has been on the air for over a year. What’s the show about? Writing – the joy of writing, sorrow of writing, the business of writing … Sometimes I interview authors and other creative people; I also chat with entrepreneurs who offer some great business strategies for your writing career… Or we’ll talk about a writing practice that I hope will inspire you. I’ve read out loud from my own books on occasion and also offered a visualization / meditation specifically designed for writers.
Our first show, on January 2, was about Paradoxical – or Janusian – Thinking.
Here’s the lineup for the rest of January:
January 9 – Maxine Nunes, author of Dazzled.
January 16 – WriteSpa Writing Practices: the Soul of Color.
January 23 – Joanne Lewis is a successful attorney who also follows her dreams as a writer. She is the author of several award-winning novels including Wicked Good, which she co-wrote with her sister, Make Your Own Luck, a Remy Summer Woods Mystery, The Lantern, a Renaissance Mystery and Forbidden Room.
January 30 – we’re delighted to welcome back Litrepreneur Tom Lowery: Tom not only has his own blog – Thinking Out Loud, but collaborates with columnist Cheryl Snapp Conner in Forbes Magazine and also writes regularly in the Huffington Post. The reason I love having Tom on this show is that he understands that if you want to be a writer today, you have to also be an entrepreneur – you have to approach the business of writing as a business, as well as the creative fabulous artistic experience that it is … that’s why we call him a literpreneur , and I’m so glad he’ll be joining us again later this month.
February 6 – WriteSpa TEEN, guest hosted by Kendell Shaffer, who wrote the celebrated YA novel Kalifornia Blu. Kendell will be hosting her popular show, which features young adult authors, every month.
February 13 – Interview: Bill Ramsey with special guest Angela Leigh Tucker. Angela suffered a severe brain injury five years ago, and after many years of hard work in therapy, is fully recovered and works as an advocate for brain injury survivors.
As always, please feel free to call in with questions, comments, ideas, suggestions at any time during the show.
