I’m the author of PURSUEDA Perfect Gem, Heaven Falls, and Bright Face of Danger, as well as other books.

Originally, Bright Face of Danger was published by St. Martin’s Press 1993; it’s been  re-released by Telemachus Press 2010). It’s also been published in four separate French editions: as Fatale Vengeance (Harlequin) and, most recently, as L’Innocence du Mal (Mira Books and Harlequin Bestsellers 2009).

Heaven Falls is another romantic novel edged with Gothic DuMaurier-esque suspense (Telemachus Press 2010). It won 1st place Reader Views – Reviewers Choice Awards for the Romance category. [View the book trailer here.]

The Wine-Dark Sea, Painted Secrets, Red Sky At Night, A Distant Light, and Roman Candles were published under the pseudonym Ellie Winslow by Signet/NAL. The Wine-Dark Sea was bought by ITCin Hollywood, and made into a screenplay. Altogether, my novels have been translated into eleven languages and published in twenty countries. One of the highlights of my life was when I was in Athens and saw one of my books (translated into Greek) for sale in a sidewalk kiosk.

I’ve also written dozens of magazine articles. I was a contributing author to Area, the Oriental Rug Magazine for many years, and also I was a reader for the Independent Film Project in New York City.

Another passion of mine is poetry - reading it, teaching it, and writing it. Many years ago, when I still lived in New York City, I cofounded the  Saturn Series Weekly Poetry Readings. Fifteen years later, it’s still going strong.

What do I love? Writing. Writing for pleasure – my own pleasure, and the pleasure of my readers. I get pleasure in telling tales that are romantic and suspenseful, that are about people I long to know, that are finely-written page-turners – and it gives me pleasure to know that my readers love my stories.

It also give me pleasure to write a newsletter I call  WriteSpa – Oasis for Writers . In it I offer writing-meditative-living-thinking practices that I hope will rejuvenate and nourish anyone who’s interested in living and writing fully and pleasurably.

My next novel will be published in Spring 2012.
