The Kindle edition of Heaven Falls is flying off the shelves this month! We’ve crossed the 400 mark this morning and July isn’t over yet. In June we sold 395 Kindle versions.
Not just that, but Heaven Falls is ranked #35 in Romantic Suspense books on Amazon, and #20 Romantic Suspense on Amazon Kindle! Not sure what it all means – but it sounds heavenly.
Overall, it’s ranked #1,472 in Amazon’s Kindle Store. Do you know how many books Amazon has in its Kindle store? Over 620,000!
Is Heaven Falls selling so well because of terrific reader reviews? Word of mouth? Social media buzz? A cool book trailer? Or because it’s simply a great summer beach read? I’d love to know!
Good buzz and a smooth path might be one pair of answers. Eric Thomasma (@seams16 on Twitter) tweeted about it with a link. Amazon had it for Kindle for only 99 cents with a good blurb and great reviews. I bought it. Only afterward did I see the cool trailer, but some combination of it being appealing, talked about, inexpensive and easy to buy certainly worked for me.
Now I just have to find the time to read it. Perhaps this weekend. I wish you continued success.
Thanks for this insight and your good wishes. In the old days we used to browse old bookstores and get stacks of used paperbacks for 25 cents each or so. A friend would nudge me and say “Get this one – I loved it.” I wonder if the 99 cent thing and people like Eric nudging one while one browses bookstores from the comfort of one’s couch is the equivalent nowadays. I hope you enjoy Heaven Falls; let me know what you think. (BTW – I enjoyed reading your poems on your site: http://www.benlanghinrichs.net/Writing.nsf/ Made me laugh.)
