#Stillness 6-5: There are times when we have to show up as we truly are. The camera of life is always on us. Who we are and what we say is always recorded—at least until it is forgiven or unsaid. So how do you look—not just at life but at yourself?
If a film were made of your life, what would be the main story? What plot threads are brightest? Who are the characters and how are they played? What stories of love, duty, honor, and courage predominate? Which of your words and phrases are used in the dialog? What are you standing up for? What do you let go of? How do you show up?
You’re creating that film of your life as you go about each day. Make sure it’s the one you want to see and be seen in. Make sure you see yourself as you truly are, including revealing all the light, love, grace, and kindness that shines out from your heart. Over the course of many years, you may have shrouded that light in layers of story, names, experiences, and trouble, but in your heart that original love and light that is the core of who you are continues to glow and to grow.
