Stillness 3-23

you belong where you are – not where others think you should be.

Sometimes you encounter people who, as they wander past, make you feel as though you are out of your element – perhaps you think you’re unworthy or not enough or simply that you belong somewhere else. When you feel out of place, imagine yourself as a tree growing from a rock or an unexpected rainbow in a stormy sky. Imagine surprise, the intake of breath, the wonder that you feel when you encounter the unexpected. Feel your inner sense of belonging as an amazed, pleasurable ‘ooh’ instead of the contracting embarrassment or guilt. This will help you be grounded, steady, held firmly and loved by our beautiful mother earth, embraced by the unknown, and connected to all — no matter what.
