Stillness 4-11

radiate your ideal self.

Instead of believing what you’ve been told you are like and always took for granted, or getting stuck in feelings that have become nestled in a comfortable groove so you don’t question them any more, allow your spirit to imagine the highest and largest qualities you’d like to envision yourself as having. When I was a teenager, and saw myself as morose, alone, serious, and glum a fellow-classmate described me ‘glamorous, successful, lucky, having it all…’ I’ll never forget that ‘aha’ moment of seeing myself through someone else’s idealized eyes and the sense of freedom it gave me. Now when I feel glum, I try to imagine how I ideally wish to feel. I allow enthusiasm, joy, or forgiveness, or whatever I long for to radiate as far as it can, so that it permeates my reality. I have come to realize that this is how angels, people who have died, and those who love us see us – as ideal and perfect with every breath we take. Try it.
