When we were children, we made wishes all the time. We made birthday wishes when we blew out the candles on the cake, or blew on dandelion seeds, and when we talked about what we would wish for if a genie showed up and granted us three wishes. We had an earnest desire to manifest our future in ways that were not boxed in by what was fast becoming a world of ‘can’t’ and ‘don’t.’ As we grow older, we tend to forget that we can still make wishes and—even better—now we can make them come true! Wishes are born out of our imaginations and thus they create what has not yet been created (unlike fantasy, which is based on past mental experience). Wishes are magical because they set us free from our limited belief of ‘I can’t’ or ‘that will never happen’ to the joyful freedom of potential and possibility. Today, connect with your inner genie. Make three wishes: one for yourself, one for someone else, and one for the world at large.
