“There’s nothing I can do – I give up.” Haven’t we all felt that at one time or another? But, in that moment, don’t we also feel a wash of grace pour through us? The release of control illumines something new and different inside us. When, in the depths of despair, we give in to hopelessness, hope returns. It’s when we surrender to the reality of what exists, and accept it, instead of arguing with it, that we can feel peace. It’s in letting go that we can have what we long for—which may be very different to what we thought it was. Become still. Now listen to your passions, your rage, your dreams, your strivings in a different way. Strength, courage, and guidance don’t come from your head or from figuring out what to do next. They come from your heart, which speaks an entirely different language. Your heart speaks the language of ‘being’ instead of ‘doing.’ Listen to that voice. Listen very hard.
