Mysteries and the unknown are what interest us, excite us, motivate us. One of the fundamental aspects of being human is our innate longing to put the pieces together and discover how something works, or what is really going on, or why something is happening. But it’s not always information that we want to fill ourselves with. It’s not always about finding out the answer, either. Sometimes it’s about waiting to let someone tell us when they’re ready. Or painstakingly putting many pieces together and figuring it out over the course of a lifetime. Sometimes it’s about imagination and imagining. In stillness, we can wonder, trust, and feel our way into the mystery intuitively. When we find out what’s inside in that way, everything we discover is an insight and a gift.
