Imagine, create, and shape

This morning when I awoke I sensed a stillness in the atmosphere and it was not the stillness of spirit but the hush of uncertainty, that pause of “what is next”? The stillness is so palpable because it is the energy of our entire planet. But whether we feel calm, safe or panicking, despairing, angry, quiet, reasonable, lonely, or worried … we are all feeling the same experience. It’s all emotion born from the sense of impending disaster. There’s no solace or reassurance or certainty about what’s happening, but there is always freedom in each one of us as to how we’ll respond to it. Will we wake up to the call of humanity? Will we wake up to the call for good, for the sake of all people, creatures, forests, and the planet itself? Will we open our eyes to what greed and separation has manifested and wake up to the truth of our spiritual matrix that connects us all? Everything we touch touches someone else. Every breath we take is breathed also by friends, neighbors, and strangers on the other side of the world.  Yes, our lives and the world will never be the same. But that means we can now imagine our ideal existence, then create it, and shape it. For all our futures, what will you choose to imagine, create, and shape for yourself, your community, and the world?
