What do you say when there’s nothing to say? How can we communicate our feelings—our sense of togetherness and encouragement—without words? Trees communicate through their roots, it’s been discovered, and the communication travels much farther than we might imagine. Whales communicate with sound across vast distances. I think we can too, by sending out subtle vibrations through our shared earthly roots and our human watery emotions. We can communicate with telepathy and love instead of with words. Remember how you felt being safely held when you were very young? Even when we feel separate, we can still know we are all connected—and dearly beloved.
