5-4: It may look as though the grass is juicier and yummier on the other side of the fence. We’ tend to believe there’s probably a better place to be, or that we can do things better than we can, we should be better friends, or cook a tastier meal, or make more money. We believe that “if only” we had this or that, we’d be happier. But is that really true? Instead of the hard work of climbing over a fence in search of what we can’t reach, what if we sank to our knees in gratitude and crawled under the fence … we would realize that it’s the same grass on both sides. It’s the same field, the same earth, the same color, the same taste–no matter which side we’re on. Wherever you are, enjoy the grass that you have right now beneath your nose. It tastes just as good. Don’t try to be somewhere you’re not. You’ll be much happier.
