You can take it with you

Stillness 6-1: I’m re-reading a favorite book I haven’t read since I was a teenager. It was written by a nun who found herself channeling a sister-friend after she died, without intending or wanting to. The woman who died, Frances, had loved gardening and flowers, and she describes how this passion is just as real in the spirit world, only instead of using soil, water, and fertilizer, she grows her beloved plants by showering them with her love and light. It’s simply a different form of energy.

So that had me thinking that everything we do and own and put our attention to is something we can bring with us even after we die. Clearing the clutter from our homes and past regrets from our memories allows us to visualize and implement the life we want now and when our dense physicality transforms to a lighter energetic form. We don’t lose any of it.

So what would you want to have with you wherever you are? Maybe a beloved pet, cherished plants, people you love. Maybe favorite books, treasured paintings, and songs that lift your heart. Always keep your thoughts elevated and pure—you bring those with you too, wherever you are. Your thoughts create your reality. If it’s not the reality you want, send that thought gently on its way. Focus on your ideals and follow your soul star’s longing. We become every feeling we have, every breath we take: so let each breath be filled with joy, love, goodness, and peace.
