One of our inherent human capacities is interest and curiosity. This can run the gamut from idle gossip and interference, to care and kindness for a fellow human, to developing life-changing inventions or great works of art. On a mystical level, curiosity can guide you deep into your own soul. Sometimes people say to me, “I wouldn’t want to know what’s inside me—I’d be afraid to find out.” Surprise yourself. Be like a cat, and wait patiently for the right moment to explore. The hidden crevices and dark shadows of your psyche are places of dreams, beauty, passion, magic, mystery, and love. You might even find a flowerbed of peace in which to curl up and doze.
